Australia’s mothers and babies 2005 is the 15th annual report on pregnancy and childbirth in Australia. The report is based primarily on the National Perinatal Data Collection. In 2005, 267,793 women gave birth to 272,419 babies in Australia. There were 15,214 more births (5.9%) than reported in 2004.
